Frequently Asked Questions

Can you give me an eye exam?

Absolutely! At Garland Vision, we appeal to all five of your senses, but our primary concern is, of course, your vision, and this begins with a comprehensive assessment of the visual system (also known as an eye exam). But rather than a cold, clinical setting, we think you’ll prefer to sit in a comfortable chair with a quality cup of freshly brewed coffee and hi-fidelity tunes (we take requests).

Do you accept my insurance?

We file VSP, or Vision Service Plan. We are also approved providers for the majority of medical providers including, Anthem, Medicare, DHP, Welborn Health Plans, Sagamore, and United Healthcare.

If you don’t file my insurance, can I still get my glasses from you?

Of course! You pick out the frames and lenses you want, pay for them, and we’ll provide a stamped and addressed envelope that you can submit to your insurance company. The bottom line is this: most insurance companies pay the patient much better than they do the doctor.

I already have an eye doctor, but I’d like to get my frames at Garland Vision – can I do this?

Yes. Just stop in, or call ahead if you like. If you don’t have a copy of your prescription, it’s not a problem. We’ll either call and get a copy or determine your prescription while you’re here.
